Christmas Book Project

I wanted to share this project I am working on.  It is going to be a Christmas Book that has everything in I need for Christmas like Christmas card list, things to do, presents to buy etc....  I have finished the first section - Things to do so here it is.

All my friends know I'm obsessed with ribbons, paperbags, recycled jiffy bags and spray inks.  So guess what I made this out off.  I cut out 2 pieces of chip board, cut a jiffy bag up to match then sprayed and stamped onto canvass I had to leave this to dry over night.  I glued it altogether with my glue gun, I found my other glue wouldn't dry fast enough.  I punched holes in it and added twoof those rings that I cannot remember the name of and then went mad cutting up ribbon and tying it on.  I covered the inside with some paper from my stash to tidy it up.

This section I've completed is Things to do.  I first got two paper bags and stitched them together then matted and layed patterned paper - distressed with spray inks and then added the blue card which I stitched around the edge.

I printed off Things to do from my PC and sprayed it again then added holly stamp.

I decorated each page with things I find christmassy.  The snowman page has a pocket which I am going to place tags in with more detailed jobs that need to be done, as each one is being done it can be took out and stuck to the fridge.

Again I decorated the page with stamps and sentiments and then I printed off a basic list of things to do from my PC and sprayed it with ink.  I added the embellishments which I made at Christmas Club Class to finish off the look.

These pages represent what I will be making and there is a large pocket in the second page for favorite recipes and patterns of things to make and in the corner of each page is a twinchie, which again I made at Christmas Club Class.

The next set of pages I will be working on is 'Christmas Card List'.

I started this because I missed the first Christmas Club Class at Oak House Studios, and this is what they were making so thank you Lynnda for the wonderful idea.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Gorjuss Ribbon Card

I had a conversation today about Gorjuss Stamps which reminded me I had one I'd never used, so I got it out and here is the result......

Its my first 8x8 card so I'm not used to all the space to fill up. The striped paper and ribbons I already had in my stash, but, as usual I sprayed a blue and silver background paper but ending up matting some more paper I had in my stash over the top,  I sprayed the bottom slightly pink and then sprayed all of it silver I was trying to get the look of rain.  I stamped and coloured the scroll stamp round the bottom.  I stamped the Gorjuss image and coloured with my promarkers. Added some polymer clay embellishments I made at craft club, then finished it off with the pink ribbon and key and clock embellishments.

Let me know your thoughts, they are greatly appreciated.

I am going to enter this in the My Craft Creations Ribbons and Lace challenge.

Sunflower Tag

This was going to go on the card but I like it as it is so I have left it to put on a present.

I embossed with an embossing folder then used clear versamark in pad and rubbed ink on the embossed surface and then chalked it.  I Stamped and embossed the sunflower and painted with chalks.

Sunflower Mothers Day Card

With Mothers Day coming up I thought I would get an early start and as my Mum loves sunflowers I had the ideal stamp.

For the back ground I sprayed with blue green and yellow Ink and then stamped over with blue and Green Ink and distressed the edges slightly.  I embossed the tag with a crackle embossing folder and rubbed chocolate ink over it and then chalked the rest.  I stamped and embossed the Sunflower and then painted this with orange and yellow chalks.  I mopped up with some white card for the sentiment than stamped it.

The Spray Inks, Ink Pads, embossing powder, sunflower and background stamp are all from Oakhouse Studio.

Sepia one layer card

Here is a quick card I made for a friend
I wanted to try and give it a sepia affect so just used browns.
I sprayed the card first then dabbed some of the spray off, then stamped the images using chocolate coloured ink. I coloured all the images with my promarkers.  Tied a ribbon around it and added an old button.

Except for the Promarkers I used all Oak House Studio Products for this card.

Grandad Garden Scrapbook page

This is for Cards Galore Scrapbook Challenge - Blue

I started with a white linen card and sprayed with green and blue and a little pink.  I then stamps the foliage and flowers and coloured the in with Promakers.  I stamped and embossed a sunflower for the sun and sprayed with orange yellow and gold stuck this on then tried the edges to fit.  For the frame I used white stamping card and first stamped it all over, I then cut an aperture around the picture and around the stamped outside edge then I sprayed with brown ink and  distressed edge with blue distress ink then coloured in the stamped image.  I printed the sentiment of my computer and sprayed again and stuck down.  I then finished it of with some buttons.

I used polka doodles stamps and Oak House studio Stamps and spray inks.

Red Roses with Love

This is my entry for the Dream Valley Challenge all hearts and red with roses and pink thrown in with LOVE!!

I had lots of fun Inking and distressing the background papers with my Spray Inks then stamping and highlighting the stamps with Promarkers. I used a polymer clay embellishment that I inked and the tag I stamped and embossed in Silver and coloured in with promarkers. I sprayed the sentiment to match the polymer clay embellishment to give a contrasting colour. Then gave everything a quick spray with silver.

Little Fingers Scrapbook Page

Hello everyone,  I a very pleased with how this turned out.  This is a picture of Lucy holding her Daddy's finger, she has always been Daddy's girl.  I started by makeing all the papers using Lilac card and spraying with Colour Chemistry Inks and then stamping the background using black versacolor, I then used my Promarkers to colour the stamps.  I added the buttons at the bottom and top corner and the sentiment with 4 metal beads to finish the seen.

The Inks and Stamps are from Oak House Studios.  I was inspired to make a background like this by Kerry Kennedy who is on the DT for Oak House Studios.  Her work with Pan Pastels is amazing.
