Christmas Book Project

I wanted to share this project I am working on.  It is going to be a Christmas Book that has everything in I need for Christmas like Christmas card list, things to do, presents to buy etc....  I have finished the first section - Things to do so here it is.

All my friends know I'm obsessed with ribbons, paperbags, recycled jiffy bags and spray inks.  So guess what I made this out off.  I cut out 2 pieces of chip board, cut a jiffy bag up to match then sprayed and stamped onto canvass I had to leave this to dry over night.  I glued it altogether with my glue gun, I found my other glue wouldn't dry fast enough.  I punched holes in it and added twoof those rings that I cannot remember the name of and then went mad cutting up ribbon and tying it on.  I covered the inside with some paper from my stash to tidy it up.

This section I've completed is Things to do.  I first got two paper bags and stitched them together then matted and layed patterned paper - distressed with spray inks and then added the blue card which I stitched around the edge.

I printed off Things to do from my PC and sprayed it again then added holly stamp.

I decorated each page with things I find christmassy.  The snowman page has a pocket which I am going to place tags in with more detailed jobs that need to be done, as each one is being done it can be took out and stuck to the fridge.

Again I decorated the page with stamps and sentiments and then I printed off a basic list of things to do from my PC and sprayed it with ink.  I added the embellishments which I made at Christmas Club Class to finish off the look.

These pages represent what I will be making and there is a large pocket in the second page for favorite recipes and patterns of things to make and in the corner of each page is a twinchie, which again I made at Christmas Club Class.

The next set of pages I will be working on is 'Christmas Card List'.

I started this because I missed the first Christmas Club Class at Oak House Studios, and this is what they were making so thank you Lynnda for the wonderful idea.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hazel
